Oh wow, great news

I quit smoking ~12 years ago and today came across a statistic that put me in such a great mood I had to share it. Longer life! 😀

The original plan was to quit before the age of 30. because I had heard that if you quit before age 30, you cut the risk of dying from smoking down by 90%.

But I didn't quit until I was 37.

I expected to be way down to maybe 60% less risk. But AI just informed me that I only lost 1% by being 7 years late

Thats right: because I quit smoking at the age of 37, I am now 89% less likely to die from smoking. Maybe technology in hospitals improved. I didn't hang around to ask.

Life is too short so I went for a long walk instead in the sun and boosted my Vitamin D levels. No coughing, no wheezing, no smelly fingers or clothes. I smoked a few cigars in the past few years, but never inhaled.

Life is great without cigarettes. Have faith in your body and it should let you know when it is time to stop too.
